Upcoming NTE Chat :
The Network of Translators in Education is excited to announce the next NTE Chat :
Title: Educator and éducateur-éducatrice : similar terms with different semantic fields Description: At first glance, these terms look like perfect synonyms, right? However, in education terminology, nothing is that easy. Translators should be careful, as they can be used as generic terms (one who educates) or specific terms (in childcare or special education). Do these terms give you trouble? Come over and discuss your pitfalls, your experiences, and your questions with us during this Noon-Hour Chat in May! Date: Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 12:15 to 1 p.m. Audience: Open to everyone Location: Online Cost: Free for NTE members, $10 for non-members. Participants will receive the Zoom link by email before the event. Generally restricted to members, our Noon-Hour Chats are sometimes open to the general public. Follow us on Facebook, LinkedIn or X so you don't miss our next public chat. Better yet, join the NTE to take part in all of our Noon-Hour Chats for free! |
