As part of its 2019 annual general meeting on May 3 in Ottawa, the Network of Translators in Education is hosting an afternoon workshop by Julián Zapata, founding president of InTr Technologies et services langagiers. Welcome to one and all!

Trainer: Julián Zapata holds a PhD in translation studies and is a professor at the University of Ottawa. He has taught English-to-Spanish and Spanish-to-French translation, as well as terminology, terminotics and translation technologies. He is the founder and president of InTr Technologies (http://www.intr.co/), conducting research and development in interactive technologies for translation, among other pursuits. His areas of interest include translator-machine and translator-information interaction, speech technologies, dictation translation, multimodal interaction and cloud computing.
